Crème
caramel, flan, or caramel custard

INGREDIENT:
2 eggs and
4 egg yolk,
1 liter milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 4 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon water.
DIRECTION:
In a large bowl, mix the eggs, milk, the
vanilla extract and a pinch of sugar. Then add the 4 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of water in a small pan or
pot. Melt until dark brown. Pour the molten sugar in 6 cups
and let cool for 1 minute. Then add the milk mixture in the cups. Place
cups in a tray with water (Bain Marie).
Bake at 200ºC for about 40 minutes. Let cool
and then refrigerate for about 2 to 3 hours. (Or overnight if you need
them the next day) When ready to serve loosen the edges of the flan
with a knife from the cups and
turn cups on a plate and decorate with some fresh strawberries and some
whipped cream.
