After Dinner Drinks

Think of "After dinner drinks" as a liquid creamy dessert with a variety of ingredients.

Besides the after dinner drinks there are also the Digestives, such as Cognac, Cointreau, Amaretto, Grand Marnier, Frangelico, Grappa, Sambuca, Underberg, Fernet-Branca, Appenzeller, Kräuter Schnapps, Bénédictine, etc. that help the digestive system after a meal.

Black Russian

2 parts Vodka
1 part Kahlua (Coffee Liqueur)

Pour Kalhua and vodka directly into old fashioned glass filled with ice. If you add on top of that some fresh cream it becomes a "White Russian".

Brandy Alexander

1 part Cognac
1 part brown Crème de cacao
1 part Fresh cream

Shake together in a mixer half filled with ice cubes. Strain into glass and garnish with nutmeg.

B & B

1 part Cognac
1 part Bénédictine

It is sometimes served on the rocks, but can also be served straight.

Rusty Nail

3 parts Scotch
1 part Drambuie

Fill a glass with crushed ice, pour the scotch and last the Drambuie, stir gently.

Peppermint Frappe

Peppermint Liqueur
Crushed Ice

Fill cocktail glass with finely crushed ice, then add the green Peppermint Liqueur and garnish with a red cherry.

Grasshopper

1 part Crème de menthe (green)
1 part Creme de Cacao (white)
1 part Fresh cream

Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake briskly and then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Stinger

3 parts Brandy
1 part White Creme de Menthe

Mix in a cocktail shaker and strain into a cocktail glass (served "Straight up" without ice).
